A morning of fishing and fun is planned for Saturday, April 14 at CJ Kelly Park, 5500 League Drive.
From 8:00 AM – noon, Midland’s Parks and Recreation Division will host a fishing competition for children up to age 12. Prizes will be awarded for age 6 and under, 7-8 years old, 9-10 years old, and 11-12 years old. The pond is stocked with catfish and anglers are welcome to keep fish which meet state law pertaining to size and quantity.
No registration is required; just bring your fishing pole and tackle. A limited number of fishing poles will be available for use at the event. During this time, adults are also welcome to fish and will not be required to have a fishing license.
