The City Attorney’s Office provides legal assistance and advice to the Midland City Council, City Management, and employees in a professional and timely manner. The office is responsible for the review and/or drafting of resolutions, ordinances, contracts, agreements, deeds, and other legal documents in which the City has an interest. The office also prosecutes violations of City of Midland ordinances and Class C misdemeanors in the Midland Municipal Court.
Additionally, the City Attorney's Office does not provide legal advice to members of the public. However, the State Bar of Texas offers a Lawyer Referral and Information Service for those who seek legal counsel.
